Do you spend your evenings scrolling on the phone or glued to Netflix? And then cry that you don’t have enough time to accomplish “your goals”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s ok to spend some time and connect with people via social media/chill & Netflix. But, if you’re spending hours and hours doing that, you will not be able to make the most of your days.
There are tons of productive things you can do in the evenings. Here are 9 productive things you can do before bed which are super-duper easy to implement. Also, you will see massive growth in your personal and professional life.
Unplug and Disconnect
Aren’t our entire day surrounded by enough gadgets? Why mindlessly scroll till our eyes burn and beg for sleep? So, an hour before going to bed, disconnect yourself from all gadgets and relax.
E-mails, phone calls can be postponed to next day unless very important. The National Sleep Foundation recommends that we stop using phone at least 30 minutes before hitting the bed. This helps you to fall asleep quickly and wake up recharged for the next day!
Connect your phone to a charger away from your bed, place your laptop on the table that’s not close to you. This has been my number one change and has worked wonders. I would wake up with headaches before doing this but now I feel refreshed and ready to take the next day.
Plan Your Next Day
This is one of the best productive activity you can do on a daily basis. Always think in advance and plan your next day. Take out atleast 15-20 minutes and decide what small steps can you take towards your bigger goals.
Finish each day by writing the 5 most important things you want to get done tomorrow and start each day by working for those five things.
What you do the evening before matters just as much as what you do each morning. In fact, what you do the night before makes it much more likely that you’ll accomplish what you’re aiming to get done on any given day.
Doing yoga before bedtime will allow toxins to be released, will help calm the mind and will take daily stresses off of the body. It is a way to renew the body and all of its strains to help in getting a good night’s sleep.
So, if you want to get rid of evening restlessness, then meditation and yoga are the best things to adopt. This helps in getting a sound sleep and recharges you for the next day. Sound sleep will give you peaceful mind which in turn increases productivity.
Have a Pamper Session
Pampering sessions are useful to de-stress yourself after a super long and stressful day. It’s one of the best productive activity as it calms your mind and body.
This “quality me time” of pampering and self-care session can literally give you a break from all the craziness in your life. You can apply a face mask or have a bubble bath. Work on a Side Hustle
I know you might be wondering why I’m suggesting this, like really? Working on a side hustle after a long work day! Yess, working on a side hustle in the evening is really beneficial in the long run.
There are innumerable stories of men and women who worked in the evenings after their full time job, just to leave their full time jobs and become their own boss!
If you have a dream, set goals and make plan to visualise it. Take tiny steps each day but don’t stop! Read this quote, I sincerely hope it motivates you to work towards your dreams.

Read a Book
Reading a book increases your concentration and helps you control your attention. Do you know today’s major problem of the brain is lack of attention, it has reduced to just 8 seconds! All thanks to the gadgets we use.
So, the best way to improve your concentration is to read a book. While watching TV can zone you out, reading does the opposite.
Do you know 30 minutes of reading a book can de-stress you similar to a 30 minute yoga session! So, this makes reading a book is the most easiest productive activity you can perform.
Learn Something New
Is there anything you wanted to learn and think you don’t have “enough time”? Utilise your time in the evenings and learn that new language/new skills to add up on your resume.
Doing something you always wanted to do makes you a happier person, it relaxes your mind!
Create a Bucket List
What’s more productive than planning your future, writing down what you want to do gives you clarity about your life.
Create a bucket list of things you want to accomplish or places you want to visit. Whenever you feel low, look at this bucket list and motivate yourself to work towards accomplishing them.
Self reflection allows you to reflect back on things that have already happened and learn the lessons which life offers us on a daily basis.
